These are designed to protect the thorax region of the torso and will deploy only in the event of a side impact and then, only on the side of the impact.

Airbag deployment effects
When an airbag inflates, a

powder is released. This is normal
and not an indication of a malfunction.
The powder may cause irritation to the
skin and should be thoroughly flushed

The airbag warning lamp is
mounted in the instrument pack
and will illuminate as a bulb check
when the ignition is turned on.

Give
Changing a bulb
If the lighting has just
been switched
off, give the bulbs time to cool.
Handling them when hot may cause
personal injury.
Always replace bulbs with
the correct
type and specification. If you are in any
doubt contact your Land Rover
Dealer/Authorised Repairer for advice.
