Removal

CAUTION: Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Refer to: Specifications (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Specifications).

2. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging - TD4 2.2L Diesel (412-00 Climate Control System - General Information, General Procedures).

3. WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands. Raise and support the vehicle.

4. Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (303-12A Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - TD4 2.2L Diesel, Removal and Installation).

5. Torque: 10 Nm

6. CAUTION: Extreme cleanliness must be exercised when handling these components.

NOTES: Remove and discard the O-ring seals.

Lubricate the O-ring seals with clean refrigerant oil.

Torque: 24 Nm

Torque: 5 Nm

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Ambient Air Temperature Sensor

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. The ambient air temperature sensor is an integral part of the door mirror and cannot be removed. A new door mirror must be installed.

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Air Conditioning (A/C) Compressor TD4 2.2L Diesel

Removal

CAUTION: Make sure that the specified amount of refrigerant oil is added.

1. Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Refer to: Specifications (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Specifications).

2. WARNING: Make sure to support the vehicle with axle stands. Raise and support the vehicle.

4. Refer to: Engine Undershield (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).

5. Refer to: Accessory Drive Belt (303-05A Accessory Drive - TD4 2.2L Diesel, Removal and Installation).

6. CAUTIONS: Make sure that all openings are sealed. Use new blanking caps.

Lubricate the new seals with clean refrigerant oil.

NOTE: Install new O-ring seals.

Torque: 24 Nm
